I'm sure everyone has heard of the original SheezyArt website. It operated from 2003 to 2013.

Then, it was brought back (unofficially, in spirit) in 2021, and closed down yet again in 2022.

BUT! They are bringing it back again!

Currently, it's in closed beta, and you can join by donating a one-time fee of $3.00 on their KoFi page!

https://ko-fi.com/sheezy

You go click on "One Time" and donate that way.

It's a one-time donation and not a subscription, but you'll still have access!

If you can't login after donating, fill out this form and they'll help ya out!

https://forms.gle/rB8xthJhteDWqdTX9

If you've had an account before, once donating, you can login into it!

If not, you can just make a new account.

They estimate that public open access will be around February, but if you wanna join sooner, just donate!

It's an art site that is akin to the old days of deviantART where you can fully customize your profile!

Here's my page if you wanna follow me!

And if you can't view my page because you don't have an account, here's a screenshot!

Ever since I first started taking commissions, like around 2009 or 2010 or so, I'd like to think I've improved greatly since then. Art Quality/Style The obvious one. Yes, I'd like to say my art has definitely improved in quality over the years. Drawing all the time, plus listening to critique, plus looking at references contributed to this. One large example is that I used to be absolute horrid at drawing hands. I'd either draw the hands backwards, or I'd hide the hands in some way so I didn't have to draw them, like hiding them behind the character's back for example. I've also learned not to shade with the color black anymore, and instead use colors for shading, as well as learn to shade better. I've also gotten better at drawing poses. Before, I'd always do the "character-standing-there" pose by default. Now I'm doing more variety. Professionalism/Attitude I used to be incredibly unprofessional in the beginning, due to me being younger, and also due to the fact I was new to taking commissions. I even had some folks make Artists_Beware posts on me over on LiveJournal years and years ago, because I was foolish and dumb back then and thought I could cancel art trades if I didn't feel like doing them, even if the person I traded with already drew their parts. That experience alone encouraged me to better myself as a person and don't be unprofessional like that. Yes it hurt so much at the time to see these negative things posted about me, but I matured and decided I didn't want to be that way anymore. I also used to do collaborations with an artist named Feverdog/AstralMoon/Stellary and they were a negative influence on me and I defended them a lot even though they were toxic to their own commissioners, and I tore myself away from that collaboration extremely fast. Plus, after seeing other Artist_Beware posts about others being rude and snarky to commissioners, that was another reason I wanted to improve. I didn't want to be like them. I learned to be polite, professional, and treat these people with kindness, even if some of the commissioners were nitpicky or rude at times. I know if I went to a business and the employees were rude to me, I'd never want to come back. So I stay nice, calm, and professional till the end. Admittingly, back then, it was tempting to just go off on these folks if they were rude to me during the commission process, but at the end of the day, it's not worth being rude back to them (don't fuel fire with fire, even if they are being mean), so I would tolerate their behavior, finish the commission, then block them afterwards. Thankfully, I rarely ever get rude commissioners. Another thing I learned is not to ghost commissioners. I used to be really bad about responding back to messages, but now I respond back as soon as I am possibly able to. On the commissioner's end I do know what it's like to feel ghosted from an artist, it's not fun. And finally, I learned to have an art queue. Before, I would never write down what I owed to others, and I'd constantly forget. Now, I have a Trello, and I immediately add the owed artwork and details to the Trello so I don't forget. But yeah, these are just random thoughts I had. I'm glad I definitely improved over the years.

Birthday Soon!

1 min read

My birthday is coming up soon -- It's on October 4th!

Gonna be turning 34, yay, lol.

No concrete plans yet for that day. We'll play it by ear.

Definitely getting a chocolate cake for sure, however!

Also, not required by any means (don't feel like you HAVE to!), but here's my Amazon wishlist if you feel like buying me a little something.

(Again, don't feel like you have to! Just posting it here in case folks do want to get me something.)

Or, if you want to draw me a lil something (again, don't feel like you HAVE to), you can find my reference sheet here:
